Success Story: Brandi Improved Her Perimenopause Symptoms and Lost Those Last 15 lbs
In my late 40's I found myself in a place where I seemed to have zero ability to lose weight. It was frustrating because I felt like I was doing all the right things. I had been eating healthy my entire adult life. I was even working out 5 days a week. So why couldn’t I lose weight?!
On top of the 15 lbs I couldn’t seem to get rid of, I had chronic digestive issues and horrendous PMS symptoms. I was also under an enormous amount of stress. My boss had worked with Merritt and raved about her own success, so she referred me to her for both my gut and hormone issues.
I took Merritt's hormone symptom survey prior to our first session. When we met, she helped me understand how my hormones could be contributing to many of the issues I was dealing with. We outlined a plan to work through my concerns one step at a time. During the six months we worked together, Merritt coached me on reducing stress, improving my gut health, regulating my menstrual cycles, reducing my breast cancer risk, and helping me create a self-care plan that worked for me.
The results were immediate and incredible! I was shocked.
My PMS symptoms, that had gotten so bad during perimenopause, were eliminated. I literally was given a quality week of the month back. Before we started working together, I really only felt good 2 weeks out of the month. Now I feel like I’ll have no problem going through the transition from perimenopause to menopause.
I was also completely astounded with how quickly my gut started to feel better. I no longer felt bloated, gassy, or inflamed. My energy levels skyrocketed, and I found myself feeling happy and playful. I tapped into key strategies for managing my stress and I now know I have the tools I need to weather any storm. I also finally lost those 15 lbs that I thought I’d never lose.
